University of the Cordilleras Alumni Tops May 2024 CPA Licensure Exam

In an extraordinary display of academic excellence, Nicole Agoy Gonzales, an alumna from the University of the Cordilleras (UC), has topped the May 2024 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants (CPA) with an impressive rating of 90.83%. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Monday that a total of 3,155 out of 10,421 candidates successfully passed the rigorous examination administered by the Board of Accountancy.

The licensure examination was conducted in various locations across the Philippines, including N.C.R., Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, and Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

Despite the stiff competition, UC’s pride and joy, Nicole Agoy Gonzales, emerged on the first spot, along with Hazel Ann Concepcion Sera of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Main, bringing honor not only to the university but also to Baguio City and the entire Cordillera region.
