Tropical Storm “Vicky” Now Moving Away from the Kalayaan Islands

UPDATE June 10, 2026 11:00 AM:

The center of the Tropical Storm “Vicky” was estimated at 175 km South-Southwest of Kalayaan, Palawan (OUTSIDE PAR) at 4:00 AM today (Monday), December 21, 2020.

Based on the latest Severe Weather Bulletin issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) at 5:00 AM today, “Vicky” turns towards the southwest and is now moving away from Kalayaan Island.

• The eastern portion of mainland Cagayan Valley
• Aurora
• The northern portion of Quezon

Light to Moderate with at Times Heavy Rains

• The rest of mainland Cagayan Valley

• Kalinga
• Mountain Province
• Ifugao
• Camarines Norte
• The rest of Quezon

Track and Intensity Outlook

• “Vicky “will continue to move away from the Kalayaan Islands and move west-southwestward or southwestward in the next 24 hours over the West Philippine Sea
• “Vicky ” is turning more westward by Tuesday
• It is forecast to remain as a tropical storm through the forecast period
• It is less likely to further intensify due to marginal conditions associated with the surge of the Northeast Monsoon
