UC, 3 Other Cordillera Schools Rank Among Top Performers in Criminologists Exam

Four higher education institutions in the Cordillera Administrative Region were recognized among the top-performing schools in the August 2026 Licensure Examination for Criminologists, according to results released by the Professional Regulation Commission.

The University of the Cordilleras and three other Cordillera schools earned spots in their respective categories in the August 2026 Licensure Examination for Criminologists.

The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 16,952 of the 29,452 examinees passed the examination administered by the Board of Criminology in 32 testing centers nationwide.

University of the Cordilleras Ranks Third

The University of the Cordilleras, the only Baguio-based school included in the PRC’s list of top-performing schools, ranked third among institutions with at least 200 examinees and an 80% or higher passing percentage.

Of its 203 examinees, 193 passed, giving the university a 95.07% passing rate.

Cordillera Career Development College also placed seventh in the same category after 244 of its 298 examinees passed, equivalent to an 81.88% passing rate.

King’s College Leads Its Category

King’s College of the Philippines Inc.-Benguet ranked first among schools with 101 to 199 examinees and an 80% or higher passing percentage.

The school recorded 95 passers out of 102 examinees for a 93.14% passing rate.

Kalinga State University ranked third in the same category, with 104 of its 123 examinees passing the examination. The university registered an 84.55% passing rate.

No Cordillera-based school was represented in the national list of examinees who garnered the ten highest places.

Registration for Successful Examinees

Online registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Cards and Certificates of Registration will begin on October 12, 2026.

The PRC said successful examinees must personally register and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals. The dates and venues of their oathtaking ceremonies will be announced later.

The commission also reported that the results of five examinees were withheld pending the final determination of their liabilities under the rules governing licensure examinations.
