Tabuk City Records 6 New COVID-19 Cases Today




Today, August 26, 2020 (Wednesday), the city of Tabuk, Kalinga has recorded six (6) new confirmed Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases who are all direct contacts of positive cases. Here are some more of the details about the patients as provided by Tabuk Life (Tabuk City Information Office).

6 New COVID-19 Cases in Tabuk City

  1. 41-year-old, Female
    • A teacher from Purok 6, Bulanao
    • She was swabbed on August 24 as direct contact of K108 positive case
    • She has been in quarantine at Southern Elementary School since August 24
    • She is asymptomatic
  2.  72-year-old, Male
    • Farmer from Purok 6, Bulanao
    • He was swabbed on August 24 as direct contact of K108 positive case
    • He has been quarantined at Southern Elementary School since August 24
    • He is asymptomatic
  3. 60-year-old, Male
    • Employee of DENR from Brgy. Bado Dangwa
    • He was swabbed on August 24 as direct contact of K108 positive case
    • He has been in quarantine at Southern Elementary School since August 24
    • He is asymptomatic

  4. 22-year-old, Male
    • From Purok 5, Bulanao
    • He was swabbed on August 24 as direct contact (son) of K113 positive case
    • He has been in quarantine at Southern Elementary School since August 24
    • He is asymptomatic
  5. 9-year-old, Male
    • Child from Purok 5, Bulanao
    • He was swabbed on August 24 as direct contact (son) of K113 positive case
    • He has been in quarantine at Southern Elementary School since August 24
    • He is asymptomatic
  6. 70-year-old, Male
    • From Purok 5, Bulanao
    • He was swabbed on August 24 as direct contact of patients K116, K118, K120 and K122
    • He has been in quarantine at Southern Elementary School since August 24
    • He is asymptomatic


Today, all the patients will be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility-City Isolation Unit (TTMF-CIU) in Agbannawag and the contact tracing, on the other hand, is already underway.

Reminders from Tabuk City Mayor Darwin Estrañero

  • He calls on residents of Purok 1, Purok 5, and Greenhills in Brgy. Bulanao Centro to abide by the guidelines of the lockdown
  • He appeals to parents to take responsibility for their minor children to prevent them from loitering outdoors unnecessarily
  • Senior citizens, pregnant women and people with comorbidities and immunodeficiency should avoid going out unless absolutely necessary
  • Strictly observe health protocols by wearing their face masks and face shield when they go out of their houses
