PSA Warns Public Against Online Schemes Regarding National ID Registration

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has released an advisory to the public against social media pages and online sites that offer Philippine National ID Registration for a fee.

According to PSA, various Facebook pages and fake websites claiming to be affiliated with the government agency and charges applicants for processing fees have surfaced. One of which is a page named “National ID Online Registration,” which as of the last checking, has been taken down.

PSA reminds the public that Step 1 of the online registration for the PhilSys ID is FREE and can be done only at https://www.philsys.gov.ph/. To avoid being scammed and wrongful use of your personal information, the public should remain vigilant by avoiding and reporting such pages and transacting only with PSA through the agency’s official channels.
