President Marcos Jr. Releases P3.4 Billion for BARMM Peace and Humanitarian Initiatives

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. recently underscored the national government’s commitment to lasting peace and development in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) with the official release of P3.4 billion in funds.

The substantial allocation is earmarked for various peace, security, and humanitarian projects vital to the region’s stability and progress. The formal turnover ceremony took place on Wednesday, July 22, at the Army’s Camp Siongco in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.

During the event, President Marcos Jr. personally presented the funds to Bangsamoro regional officials, local executives, and other key stakeholders, signaling a unified effort towards achieving sustained peace and addressing humanitarian concerns within the BARMM. This initiative highlights the government’s continued focus on comprehensive development and reconciliation efforts in the southern Philippines.
