Payment of taxes in Baguio City now faster and more convenient
The annual process of the payment of taxes in Baguio will now be more convenient and faster for taxpayers as the City Treasury Office (CTO), headed by Alex Cabarrubias, updates its system.
Where to pay your taxes
According to Assistant City Treasurer Ponciano De Jesus, payment of business, real property, cedula and other fees will be at the One-Stop-Shop which is located on the first floor, right wing of the Baguio City Hall
Also take note, that as protocol, persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, and pregnant women will be given priority in the payment processes.
There will also be chairs outside the One-Stop-Shop to provide ease to those who will be waiting for their turn since a large number of clients is expected during the first quarter of the year.
In accordance with the local government’s 15-point core agenda under Mayor Benjamin Magalong, De Jesus said that the treasury office is continuously looking for ways to innovate the system of payment and collection of taxes in order to provide ease and efficiency to the public.
As Cabarrubias said, “This is achieved through the implementation of priority development projects and enhanced delivery of basic services to the people, especially in the city’s different barangays.”
He also pointed out earlier that taxpayers are obliged to pay their taxes as this will enable the government to continuously work for the welfare of the public.
