Number Coding in Baguio City Suspended For the Duration of ECQ

UPDATE June 17, 2026 11:05 AM:

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong has ordered the temporary suspension of the number coding scheme in Baguio City for the duration of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

Previously, President Rodrigo Duterte has declared a state of calamity because of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). And in response to this and the ECQ, Baguio City is now temporarily lifting number coding.

Last week, a new market schedule has been released for Baguio residents to follow where districts are assigned only two days a week for buying food or medicine. And through Executive Order No. 84, S. 2020, number coding in the city will be temporarily suspended to allow residentswhose assigned market day coincides with their vehicle’s number coding restrictions to use their own cars when going out to buy essentials.
