Non-Benguet Residents Required to Present Negative RT-PCR or Full Vaccination Card Upon Entry

Non-residents of Benguet who are entering the province will now need to present a negative RT-PCR test result or full vaccination card at the checkpoint. This is according to the public advisory issued by Governor Melchor Diclas on Thursday.

According to the advisory, the following policies were agreed upon during the meeting of the Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (PIATF) to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus especially the delta variant.

Minimum Public Health Standards

Physical distancing, hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and wearing of face masks and face shields, among others, shall continue to be strictly implemented.

Travel Entry Protocol

Non-residents are required to present the following at the PNP Border Check Points:

  • Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) results or
  • Full Vaccination Card

Those without RT-PCR results or full vaccination cards are required to undergo triage in designated triage areas with the assistance of the PNP

COVID-19 Cases

All confirmed COVID-19 positive cases, whether symptomatic or asymptomatic, shall be quarantined at the nearest Quarantine Facility or at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), whichever is available, of the municipality concerned.
