Malacañang declared October 31, 2022 as a Special non-working Holiday






President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared that October 31, 2022 is a special non-working holiday in the Philippines. This is after PBBM signed the document declaring it so. This announcement came from OPS OIC Cheloy Garafil. According to Proclamation no. 79 signed by the President, the declaration of October 31, 2022 as a special non-working day throughout the country will strengthen family ties and promote domestic tourism.

This would mean that we are expecting a long weekend ahead. October 29 and 30 falls on a Saturday and Sunday while October 31, 2022 is a Monday, in addition, November 1, 2022 was already previously declared as a special non-working holiday according to the 2022 Nationwide Holidays as previously announced by the Palace.
