After being closed last August 13 due to landslides and rockslides caused by inclement weather, the Joint Inter-Agency Task Force (JIATF) Kennon has released a traffic advisory on Friday announcing the temporary reopening of Kennon Road to non-resident motorists.
Kennon Road traffic scheme
Starting Monday, September 19, 2022, until further notice, Kennon Road will be temporarily opened to one-way traffic following the scheme below:

Note: Kennon Road residents are exempted from the Public Advisory but are reminded to strictly adhere to the safety precautions below.
Reminders
Aside from the traffic scheme to be followed, JIATF Kennon, the following reminders and closure protocol must be adhered to by the public to ensure maximum safety and security on Kennon Road:
- Adhere to traffic and parking rules and maintain a speed limit of thirty kilometers per hour (30 kph)
- Vehicles/trucks exceeding the five (5) tons (gross tonnage) limit shall be prohibited to pass through Kennon Road
- in case of inclement weather or detected ground shaking/earthquake with or without aftershock/s which may trigger landslides or rockfalls, the Local Government Unit of Tuba, through the Tuba Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the DPWH-CAR and OCD-CAR, shall immediately close Kennon Road until public safety is guaranteed.
