Kennon Road Opens to One-Way Traffic
After being closed last year due to numerous landslides and reconstruction of roads, the Cordillera Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) announced that Kennon Road will be opened to one-way traffic for private vehicles (light vehicles weighing 5 tons below) starting February 14, 2019, in time for the festivities of the 24th Panagbenga Festival.
According to Philippine Information Agency- Cordillera, The CRDRRMC has approved the opening of Kennon Road to private motorists to one-way traffic only in going up to Baguio on the following dates:
February 14 (6:00 AM) to February 18 (6:00 AM)
February 22 (6:00 AM) to March 4 (6:00 AM)

Since Kennon Road is only open to motorists going up to Baguio, visitors going out of Baguio are advised to take Marcos Highway, Naguilian Road, or Tubao- Nangalisan Road instead. Only identified/registered homeowners allowed to go up/down Kennon Road.
