Igorot Film Honorable Mention in the Int’l Film Festival Manhattan 2020



A short film entitled “Namnama En Lolang” (Grandmother’s Hope), was among the Honorable Mentions in the International Film Festival Manhattan 2020 which was held online on November 19 to 22, 2020. This film is directed and written by Jonnie Lyn Dasalla from the City of Baguio.

Congratulations to the director Jonnie Lyn Dasalla and the entire team who brought the short film “Namnama En Lolang” to life.

Here’s the synopsis of “Namnama en Lolang” as provided by its director through the film’s promotional video that premiered on YouTube on November 3, 2020:

“In a simple yet peaceful home in Baguio City, Benguet, Lolang Keyag Kudyaman lives with her baby grandson Eli Kudyaman during the quarantine. She hopes and waits patiently for the lockdown to be lifted in their place so that they could visit Eli’s parents.”
