Five Cordillera Roadlines Remain Not Passable as of September 27, 2026

Five roadlines in Baguio City, Benguet, and Ifugao remain not passable as of the morning of September 27, 2026, while all national roads and bridges in Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province are passable, according to the latest DPWH-Cordillera road and travel advisory.

The Department of Public Works and Highways-Cordillera Administrative Region (DPWH-CAR) said the advisory was based on reports gathered from 6:02 AM to 7:28 AM.

Kennon Road also remains open, but only to light vehicles with a maximum load of 5 tons.

All National Roads Passable in Four Provinces

DPWH-CAR reported that all national roads and bridges are passable in:

• Abra
• Apayao
• Kalinga
• Mountain Province

Motorists should still exercise caution as weather and road conditions may change.

Kennon Road Open to Light Vehicles Only

Kennon Road remains passable to light vehicles only, with a maximum load limit of 5 tons.

Several sections continue to have restrictions.

At Sitio Camp 2, Barangay Twin Peaks, Tuba, Benguet, the Acrow Bridge remains not passable, while the detour road is one-lane passable.

The Rockshed Approach at Camp 6 is also limited to one lane.

Another section at Camp 6, Tuba is one-lane passable due to falling rocks.

Motorists using Kennon Road are advised to remain alert and follow instructions from personnel managing traffic along affected sections.

Five Roadlines Remain Not Passable

Baguio City

Two roadlines remain affected by sinking sections:

• PMA Road
• PMA Cut-Off Road No. 3

DPWH-CAR said the affected portions continue to be monitored.

Benguet

Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road

The Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road at Barangay Beckel, La Trinidad remains not passable due to a road cut.

Alternate routes are:

• Marlboro-Beckel Road
• Labey-Lacamen Road

Baguio-Itogon Road

The Baguio-Itogon Road at Sitio Goldfield, Barangay Poblacion, Itogon remains not passable due to a landslide.

Motorists may use the Ucab-Midas Road as an alternate route.

Ifugao

The Banaue-Hungduan-Benguet Boundary Road at Hapao, Hungduan, Ifugao is not passable due to soil collapse.

Clearing and Restoration Operations Continue

DPWH-CAR said road-clearing teams and heavy equipment remain deployed in affected areas to remove soil, rocks, debris, and other obstructions.

Motorists and those who need to be on the road are advised to slow down, follow traffic advisories and instructions from personnel on site, and avoid unnecessary travel through hazardous sections.
