Study Placements

Applicants must be enrolled in any of the following types of institutions:

  • University of the Philippines System
  • State Universities and Colleges (SUCs)
  • Private Institutions recognized by CHED as:
    • Centers of Excellence
    • Centers of Development
    • FAAP Level III accredited (PAASCU, PACUCOA, etc.) for the priority S&T programs

For RA 10612, all of the above plus CHED-compliant schools offering identified S&T programs are accepted.

  • May 16, 2025 – Deadline to Request for School Inclusion
  • May 23, 2025 – Last Day of Online Application and Document Upload
  • July 27, 2025 – Schedule of the JLSS Qualifying Exam






Eligibility Requirements for DOST JLSS 2025

To be eligible for the DOST Scholarship 2025 under the JLSS program, applicants must:

  • Be a Filipino citizen and of good moral character and good health.
  • Be a regular second-year student in AY 2024–2025 enrolled in a DOST-SEI priority S&T course at a DOST-recognized university.
  • Have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 83%, with no conditional or failing marks from the first year to the first semester of the second year (including midyear terms).
  • May have applied or qualified for DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship in the past but did not qualify or avail of the award.

⚠️ Non-academic subject grades are not included in GWA computation.






Document Requirements for DOST JLSS Application 2025

All forms must be printed on A4-size paper, signed by the appropriate authorities, and uploaded to the DOST E-Scholarship portal:

  1. Form C – Certificate of Good Moral Character
  2. Form D – Certificate of Good Health
  3. Form E – Certificate of Program of Study and Year Level
  4. Form F – Certificate of Residency
  5. Form G – Commitment to Return Service
  6. Form H – Applicant’s Certification
  7. Form I – Applicant/Parent Declaration
  8. Transcript of Records / True Copy of Grades or Certified Grade Report (1st Year to 1st Sem 2nd Year)
  9. Recent Passport Size Photo
    • Must show 80% of the applicant’s face, white background, with handwritten name tag and signature
  10. Birth Certificate (PSA, NSO, or Municipal Registry)
  11. Proof of Income (Signed document with indicated annual gross income)
    1. For a certain class of worker, any one proof of income may be submitted.
    2. Clear, signed copy.
    3. Annual Gross Income must be clearly indicated in the document.
    4. The particular document depends on the parent’s class of worker.
    5. Sample ITR
  12. Notarized Affidavit of Guardianship (if applicable)
  13. Marriage Certificate (if applicant is married)

  • Father/Mother/Spouse/Guardian’s annual gross income
  • Contributions from outside sources (amount, purpose, contributor’s name)
  • Agricultural land owned (in hectares)
  • Vehicle information (type, year, and model)

How to Apply for JLSS 2025

  1. Register using a valid email address via the E-Scholarship portal: https://jlss1.science-scholarships.ph/register
  2. Verify your email and answer the Eligibility Module truthfully. If eligible, proceed to the next step.
  3. Fill out the following modules:

  4. Double-check your entries. Once you hit submit, you can no longer edit your details.
  5. Select your test center preference, based on where you are likely to be during the exam.

What Happens After Your Application?

  1. Exam Schedule and Test Permit
    The pen-and-paper examination is set for July 27, 2025. Qualified applicants will receive a Test Permit via their registered email in July 2025. This permit will include your assigned test center and session details.
  2. Post-Enrollment Requirement
    After enrollment in the First Semester of AY 2025–2026, secure a certification proving you are a Regular 3rd Year Student or submit Form E-1 signed by your school. This must be sent to DOST-SEI on or before August 22, 2025. This will also be explained on exam day.
  3. Announcement of Scholarship Qualifiers
    If you meet the exam cut-off score, you will be notified through a Notice of Award sent to your email. This notice includes the schedule for the orientation on JLSS policies and the signing of the Scholarship Agreement.

  4. Effectivity of the Scholarship
    The scholarship officially begins in the First Semester/Term of AY 2025–2026.
