CHED Allows University of Baguio to Conduct Limited Face-To-Face Classes

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has granted the University of Baguio (UB) the authority to conduct limited face-to-face classes for three of its medical-related courses.

As stated in the granted Certificates of Authority, effective April 22, 2021, until the end of the First Semester AY 2021-2022, the following courses will be allowed to hold limited face-to-face classes:

  • BS Nursing
  • BS Physical Therapy (Internship Program)
  • BS Medical Laboratory Science (Internship Program)

According to the university’s announcement, CHED has conducted a three-phased inspection in the span of two months as the university reconfigured university premises and classrooms to safeguard students, staff, and faculty.

Once limited face-to-face classes and internships will begin, entry regulations and classroom setup and design of the university will also be discussed and strictly implemented.

Last March, Saint Louis University was also among the 23 colleges and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) initially approved by CHED to hold limited face-to-face classes for the 2nd semester of this academic year.
