BPI to Make InstaPay and PESONet Transfers Free Starting July 1, 2026

Starting July 1, 2026, Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) users will be able to send money to other banks and e-wallets with zero transfer fees through the BPI app and VYBE by BPI.

According to BPI’s announcement, the free transfers will apply to both InstaPay and PESONet transactions permanently. This means users can send money digitally without paying the usual interbank transfer charges.

What This Means for BPI Users

With the new fee-free transfer setup, BPI customers can send funds to supported banks and e-wallets without additional transaction fees using BPI’s digital platforms.

This is expected to help users save on everyday money transfers, especially those who regularly send payments, allowance, business funds, or personal transfers through mobile banking.

InstaPay vs PESONet

BPI users may still choose between InstaPay and PESONet depending on the type of transfer they need.

InstaPay is generally used for real-time transfers and allows fund transfers of up to P50,000 per transaction. BPI says InstaPay is available 24/7 through BPI Online and the BPI app, with funds credited in real time.

PESONet, on the other hand, is used for higher-value transactions. BPI lists PESONet transfers at up to P250,000, with transfers made before 4:00 PM credited on the same banking day.

Permanent Removal of Transfer Fees

Reports on the announcement noted that the removal of InstaPay and PESONet fees will be permanent beginning July 1, 2026. The move covers BPI digital platforms, including the BPI mobile app and VYBE by BPI, with some reports also noting BPI Online and BizKo among the covered channels.

Users are also advised to keep their BPI and VYBE apps updated to the latest version to access the service properly.
