Bontoc Mayor Mandates RT-PCR Tests to Van Drivers and Operators



On a recent announcement of the Municipality of Bontoc, Mayor Franklin C. Odsey issued a Memorandum Order 69 – 2020, “Mandatory clustered RT-PCR Tests to all concerned van drivers and operators plying from Bontoc to any areas outside Mountain Province.”

New Case in Bontoc

Yesterday, November 23, 2020, a positive case in the Municipality of Bontoc has been informed to the Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force (MIATF).

Here are the details of the new case recorded according to the Municipality of Bontoc post:

  • 36-year-old Male
  • Van Driver
  • Symptomatic
  • Currently admitted at the Luis Hora Memorial Regional Hospital

Van drivers and operators who may have in contact with the abovementioned are mandated to undergo an RT-PCR test.

“All concerned van operators and drivers are mandated to submit themselves at the triage area located at the basement (mezanin) of the Bontoc Municipal Capitol on November 26, 2020 (Thursday).”

Furthermore, a list of names of concerned van drivers and operators shall be submitted to the Bontoc LGU Contact Tracing and Monitoring Team.

“Personnel from Bontoc MPS are directed to coordinate with concerned van drivers and operators should they refuse to submit themselves for RT-PCR testing.”
