Benguet to Remain Under Enhanced Community Quarantine Until May 15, 2020


In a recent announcement by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, the province of Benguet will remain under Enhanced Community Quarantine until May 15, 2020. This is according to the approved IATF Resolution No.29 entitled “Recommendations Relative to the Management of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Situation”.

The following are the Areas where the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) will remain in effect until May 15, 2020:

  • National Capital Region (NCR)
  • Region III (Central Luzon), except the Province of Aurora
  • Region IV-A (CALABARZON)
  • The Province of Pangasinan
  • The Province of Benguet including Baguio City
  • The Province of Iloilo
  • The Province of Cebu
  • Cebu City
  • Bacolod City*
  • Davao City

These areas will remain under ECQ and shall follow the guidelines as mandated under the Enhanced Community Quarantine. All areas that are not mentioned are now under General Community Quarantine. The GCQ is effective from May 1, 2020, to May 15, 2020. Low-risk areas after May 15, 2020, may now have the quarantine lifted provided there is no deterioration in their risk level.  The Risk levels of the areas under ECQ and GCQ will be reevaluated after May 15, 2020.
