Benguet remains under a Red Rainfall Warning, while La Union has also been placed under the same warning as heavy rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat continue to affect Northern Luzon.
PAGASA’s Northern Luzon PAGASA Regional Services Division (NLPRSD) issued Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 14 at 5:00 AM on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

PAGASA warned that serious flooding and landslides are expected in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas.
Benguet has remained under the Red Rainfall Warning since the previous advisories issued Saturday night. With the whole province now covered by the warning, Baguio City and the rest of the BLISTT area remain under the Red Rainfall Warning.
Residents in vulnerable areas are advised to take precautionary measures, particularly those living near mountain slopes, waterways, low-lying communities, and areas with a history of flooding or landslides.
An Orange Rainfall Warning is in effect over:

PAGASA advised the public and concerned Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices to continue monitoring weather conditions and take precautionary measures against the impacts of the continuing rains.
Residents along mountain slopes should remain alert for possible landslides, mudslides, rockslides, and flash floods.
The next Heavy Rainfall Warning is scheduled to be issued at 8:00 AM today, August 9, 2026.
