Baguio City Records 10 New COVID-19 Cases




The city has recorded ten new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) today. According to the Daily COVID-19 Monitoring Update by the Public Information Office of Baguio City, 9 of these cases have been detected through the expanded testing in different sectors while 1 case has been discovered through contact tracing.

New COVID-19 Cases in Baguio City

  1. 22-year old female; Resident of Barangay Camp Allen; Expanded Testing
  2. 28-year old female; Resident of Barangay Bakakeng Central; Expanded Testing
  3. 38-year old female; Resident of Barangay Victoria Village; Expanded Testing
  4. 38-year old female; Resident of Barangay Irisan; Expanded Testing
  5. 24-year old male; Resident of Barangay Poliwes; Expanded Testing
  6. 57-year old female; Resident of Barangay Irisan; Expanded Testing
  7. 21-year old female; Residence withheld pending lockdown order issuance; Expanded Testing
  8. 26-year old male; Expanded Testing
  9. 21-year old male; Expanded Testing
  10. 32-year old female; Contact Tracing


Eight of the cases discovered through expanded testing came after Mayor Magalong’s directive for groceries to submit their employees to mandatory testing after clustering of cases was observed in groceries and supermarkets. According to the mayor, more infections are expected to surface in the coming days as grocers were only given until today to complete the testing requirement.
