Free Anti-Rabies Pet Vaccination in Baguio: November 9–13, 2026 Schedule and Locations

The Baguio City Veterinary and Agriculture Office (CVAO) has released its latest schedule of free anti-rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats from November 9 to 13, 2026, covering five barangays across the city.

The vaccination program aims to protect pets and residents against rabies, a deadly but preventable viral disease that can be transmitted through bites from infected animals.

Vaccination activities will be conducted at designated locations in Pinsao Proper, Bakakeng Central, Bakakeng Norte/Sur, Happy Hallow, and Camp 7, with morning and afternoon schedules depending on the barangay.

Important Reminders for Pet Owners

The CVAO has issued the following reminders for residents planning to avail themselves of the free vaccination services:

1. Age and Health Requirements

Dogs and cats younger than three months old, pregnant animals, and sick animals will not be vaccinated during the activity.

2. Mandatory Dog Registration

Under City Ordinance No. 19-2021, all dogs aged three months and older must be registered with their barangay or the City Veterinary and Agriculture Office.

3. Dog Registration Fee

A registration fee of ₱50 per dog will be collected from dog owners. The anti-rabies vaccination itself is free.

Why Vaccinating Your Pets Is Important

Rabies is a serious public health concern because it can be transmitted from infected animals to humans, usually through bites. Once symptoms appear, the disease is almost always fatal.

Vaccinating dogs and cats is one of the most effective ways to prevent rabies transmission and protect both animals and people.

Pet owners in the scheduled barangays are encouraged to bring their eligible pets to the designated vaccination sites.

Residents may also coordinate with their barangay officials or the CVAO for additional information about the vaccination activities.
