Baguio, La Trinidad, Sablan and Tuba Under Yellow Rainfall Warning

Baguio City, La Trinidad, Sablan, and Tuba are under a Yellow Rainfall Warning as rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat continue to affect parts of Northern Luzon.

PAGASA’s Northern Luzon PAGASA Regional Services Division (NLPRSD) issued Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 24 at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 10, 2026.

Yellow Rainfall Warning

The Yellow Rainfall Warning covers the following areas:

Benguet

  • Baguio City
  • La Trinidad
  • Sablan
  • Tuba

Other areas

  • La Union
  • Tagudin, Ilocos Sur
  • Portions of Pangasinan

Under the Yellow Warning, flooding and landslides may occur in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas.

Residents in affected communities, particularly those near mountain slopes, waterways, and low-lying areas, are advised to remain alert and continue monitoring local conditions.

Rains Continue Over Other Parts of Benguet

Light to moderate, and at times heavy rains, are also being experienced over the rest of Benguet.

Similar conditions are being experienced over portions of Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino. These rains may persist within the next two to three hours and may affect nearby areas.

More Areas May Experience Rain

Light to moderate, and at times heavy rains, are also expected within the next two to three hours over portions of:

  • Nueva Vizcaya
  • Ilocos Sur
  • Ilocos Norte
  • Mountain Province
  • Ifugao
  • Aurora
  • Quirino

Public Advised to Remain Alert

PAGASA advised the public and concerned Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices to continue monitoring weather conditions and take precautionary measures against possible hazards.

Residents along mountain slopes should remain alert for possible landslides, mudslides, rockslides, and flash floods.

The next Heavy Rainfall Warning is scheduled to be issued at 2:00 PM today, August 10, 2026.
