1,425 Beneficiaries Receive DSWD Cash Assistance in CAR




The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducted the first payout for the beneficiaries of the educational assistance on Saturday, August 20, 2022. The program is aimed to help indigent learners nationwide with their school-related expenses as face-to-face classes resume for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic ensued lockdowns in the country.

According to the report released by the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) Field Office, 1,425 beneficiaries were able to get their cash assistance from different parts of the Cordillera.

Mt. Province noted the lowest number of beneficiaries at 20 while Kalinga logged the highest, serving 561 beneficiaries as of August 21, 2022.




How to Avail Educational Assistance from DSWD

The DSWD Educational Cash Assistance is under the Assistance for Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program, aimed to provide support to individuals and families during unexpected crisis situations. DSWD central, regional, provincial, and other local offices are scheduled to release educational assistance payouts every Saturday until September 24.
