Zero COVID-19 Cases, 7 Recoveries Recorded today in Baguio City

After a long while, Baguio City has recorded zero (0) cases of COVID-19 today. This, after the city, has been recording surges or increases in the number of cases most of which were discovered through contact tracing and expanded testing. The city conducted a total of 99 Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests. In addition to zero cases, another good news is that there are seven COVID-19 patients who recovered from the disease.

While the City Health officer and the City mayor welcome this development. The latter reminded the public to observe the established health and safety protocols as a new way of life.

The City has recently eased restrictions which include the removal of the M&Ms pass as a requirement to enter Malls and other commercial establishments. The M&Ms pass will now just be used for public market errands. The lifting of the liquor ban, opening of parks to residents, and giving minors and senior citizens more freedom to move around the city for essential travels.

With all the easing of restrictions while the virus is still among us, we, the residents, should not let our guard down, rather, it is the time to be more mindful in observing the minimum health and safety protocols.
