This year is already about to end and throughout the year we have seen countless entertaining contents from different content creators from around the world and also from our country, the Philippines. Many of the videos we have seen on YouTube this year made it – even though filled with challenges – extra special.
Does this make you wonder about just who among the many Filipino content creators dominated YouTube this year? And which videos have climbed their way to the top?
Well, we know who went under the spotlight of YouTube in the Philippines this year, including the videos that received so much attention from our country. So are you ready to see who and which stood out this year? If so, here’s the list of the Top Creators, Breakout Creators, Top Trending Videos, and the Top Music Videos in the Philippines this 2020!
Fan-favorite personalities and comedians took the spotlight this year. According to YouTube, creators from the gaming community and celebrities who turned to vlogging also emerged to the top this 2020.
Majority of the video that made it to the list of top ten trending videos that entertained Filipinos in 2020 are original prank videos and challenges from some of the country’s well-loved local content creators, while Marcelito Pomoy’s performance video for the Pilipinas Got Talent 2011 claimed the number one spot.
“Pinoy hip-hop scene enjoys its momentum this year as local rappers and groups released their original tracks, taking six out of 10 spots on the list,” announced YouTube. The hit Korean girl group BLACKPINK, on the other hand, has landed three spots on the chart. Furthermore, the K-pop king BTS, has also made it to the list.
In Youtube’s Official blog, which was posted on December 1, 2020, social media giant YouTube has announced the top trending YouTube Videos and Creators for this year in the US.
