Several major roads leading to Baguio City are passable as of August 10, 2026, including Marcos Highway, Naguilian Road, and the Asin-Nangalisan route. Kennon Road, however, remains temporarily closed to non-residents, while a portion of Halsema Highway is limited to one-lane traffic.
The Department of Public Works and Highways-Cordillera Administrative Region (DPWH-CAR) has released its latest Baguio-bound road travel advisory following days of heavy rainfall in the region.
Motorists who need to travel are advised to take note of existing restrictions and continue monitoring official road updates, as conditions may change depending on rainfall and ongoing clearing operations.
The following major routes are currently passable:
Naguilian Road had been reported not passable on August 8 due to a landslide but is now listed as passable in the August 10 advisory.
A portion of the Baguio-Bontoc Road, also known as Halsema Highway, remains limited to one-lane traffic at Caliking in Atok, Benguet.
The restriction is due to a road slip.
Motorists passing through the area are advised to exercise caution and follow instructions from traffic personnel.
Kennon Road remains temporarily closed to non-residents until further notice.
According to DPWH-CAR, continuous heavy rainfall may result in slope failures, rockfalls, and landslides along the road, making travel hazardous.
The temporary closure remains in place while clearing operations and safety assessments are being conducted.

Motorists are advised to follow instructions from traffic enforcers and emergency personnel and monitor official advisories for updates regarding Kennon Road.
The Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road remains not passable at Beckel in La Trinidad, Benguet, due to a road slip.
The affected section has been closed since June 28, 2026.
