With SARS-CoV-2 still looming in the City as cases continue to rise. It cannot be denied that local transmission is indeed feasible. This prompted the City Government of Baguio to expand the testing of vulnerable areas where clustering has been observed. Such testing started with bank employees which yielded several positive cases of COVID-19. Recently, the City Mayor of Baguio has called on the management of groceries and supermarkets to have their staff tested for COVID-19 as initial clustering has also been observed in such industry.

The closure was to facilitate the cleaning and disinfection of the said branch of Victoria’s supermart.
