SLU Ranks 1st in the top ten performing schools in the 2023 Pharmacists Licensure Examinations






In an impressive display of academic excellence, Saint Louis University (SLU) has emerged as the leading institution in the recent Pharmacists Licensure Examination, with a pass rate of 96.84%. Out of 253 candidates from SLU who took the exam, 245 successfully passed, placing the university at the forefront of pharmacy education in the country.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) declared that 2,974 of the 4,038 candidates passed the board exam nationwide. The examination was held across several key cities in the Philippines, including the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga, in November 2023.

The Board of Pharmacy, led by Dr. Mildred B. Oliveros as the Officer-In-Charge, with Dr. Adelina C. Royo and Hon. Anthony Aldrin C. Santiago as members, oversaw the licensure examination. The results were released in a record time of three working days after the examination concluded, showcasing the PRC’s commitment to prompt service.

The PRC has also outlined the registration process for the issuance of the Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration. The registration will be conducted online on selected dates between December 13, 2023, and January 3, 2024. Candidates are directed to the PRC’s official website (www.prc.gov.ph) for initial registration instructions. Required for registration are the downloaded Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission, two passport-sized photos with a white background and complete name tag, two sets of documentary stamps, and a short brown envelope. All successful examinees are required to personally register and affix their signature in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The PRC will announce the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the newly licensed pharmacists at a later time.
