SLU among top performing schools in recent Physicians Licensure Examinations

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 3,845 out of 6,600 examinees successfully passed the October 2024 Physicians Licensure Examination. The exams, conducted by the Board of Medicine, took place across multiple testing centers, including the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
This year’s board members were led by Chairperson Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, with members Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Dr. Martha O. Nucum, Dr. Efren C. Laxamana, and Dr. Joanna V. Remo. Dr. Prudencio Z. Sta. Lucia, Jr. was also listed as a member but inhibited from participation.
The licensure exam results were released just three working days after the final day of examinations, showcasing a smooth and efficient process for this year’s batch of aspiring physicians.

Among the top-performing schools with 100 or more examinees, Saint Louis University (SLU), located in Baguio City, ranked 9th with an impressive 83.23% passing rate, further cementing its reputation for excellence in medical education.
Physician Licensure Topnotchers
Starting November 25, 2024, successful candidates are required to register online for the issuance of their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration through the PRC’s website. Examinees should prepare the necessary documents, including the accomplished Oath Form, notice of admission, passport-sized photos, documentary stamps, and a short brown envelope, to complete their registration. All registrants must sign the Roster of Registered Professionals in person.
This year’s examination is another step toward fortifying the country’s healthcare workforce, with new physicians ready to embark on their careers in service of the nation.
