PAGASA Issues Yellow Rainfall Warning Over Northern Luzon Due to Tropical Storm Danas and Southwest Monsoon




The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), through its Regional Services Division – Northern Luzon, has issued Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 1A as Tropical Storm Danas and the Southwest Monsoon bring persistent rains across Northern Luzon.

Areas Under Yellow Warning

Ilocos Norte, Batanes, and portions of Pangasinan are under a Yellow Warning, with moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall that may cause flooding and landslides. Residents in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas are advised to remain vigilant.

Ongoing Rainfall Activity

Moderate to heavy rains are also affecting parts of Pangasinan, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, and Aurora. Light to moderate rains are observed in Kalinga, Mountain Province, Quirino, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela, Abra, Apayao, and portions of Cagayan. These conditions may persist for the next 2 to 3 hours.

Public Advisory

PAGASA urges communities to monitor updates and warnings. Residents near slopes and rivers should be prepared for possible landslides, mudslides, rockslides, and flash floods. The next advisory is scheduled for 2:00 PM today.
