Order Regulating Social Gatherings and Sale of Liquor in Baguio Extended
In a new executive order issued by Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, the implementation of the regulating Social Gatherings, and Sale and Consumption of Liquor in Baguio City is extended until December 10, 2020. The EO was posted by the Public Information Office (PIO) of the City of Baguio.
The new order is Executive Order No. 177, Series of 2020, an order extending the implementation of EO No. 171, Series of 2020, to December 10, 2020.
In the EO No. 171, Series of 2020 which was issued last November 20, 2020, the order to regulate was supposed to be only for the period of November 20, 2020, until December 4, 2020.
EO No. 171 was issued to address the findings of the city’s contact tracing team that a number of recently confirmed cases has attended social gatherings, and engaged in drinking sprees, thus confirming that these activities were indeed risk factors in the community.
In the new EO, Mayor Magalong has issued the following:
- The implementation of the provision in Executive Order No. 171, Series of 2020 is hereby extended until December 10, 2020, or unless the COVID situation in Baguio City warrants a further extension thereof. All governing rules and regulations stated therein are maintained in furtherance of the extended period.
- The public is reminded to strictly follow the standard and basic health protocols, and to keep social gatherings small, preferably limited to members of the immediate family within the same household.
