Office of the Congressman Offers Free TESDA Training for Baguio Residents





In collaboration with the Office of the Congressman, TESDA is offering free courses for Baguio City residents under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).




What is TWSP?

The TWSP is a program by TESDA that is geared towards addressing the critical skills shortages in priority sectors, particularly Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), metals and engineering, construction, and tourism, among others.

The scholarship includes the following:

  • Free tuition;
  • Assessment fee (for NC);
  • Training allowance;
  • Accident insurance;
  • Internet allowance; and
  • PPE allowance



Qualifications

Applicant must be:

  • 18 years old and above
  • At least high school graduate
  • Applicants may only apply for one program

Available Courses

Here are the available courses offered under the Office of Congressman Mark Go:

  • Batch #1 will begin in June/July
  • Batch #2 will begin in July/August
  • Batch #3 will begin in August/September

Requirements for Application

Interested applicants need the following requirements in applying for the programs:

  • Accomplished Registration Form

  • 1×1 Picture
  • Barangay Certificate of Residency
  • Photocopy of 1 government-issued ID



How to Apply

  1. Submit the complete requirements to the Office of Congressman Mark Go at the 2nd Floor of Baguio City Hall during office hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday) from May 21 to May 28, 2021.
  2. Selected trainees shall be informed via text or call not later than June 8 for Batch 1, June 15 for Batch 2, and June 29 for Batch 3.

NOTE: All applications submitted to the PESO Office prior to this announcement are currently being evaluated and processed by the Congressman’s Office and TESDA.
