New COVID-19 case reported in Baguio City
June 25, 2020 (Thursday) – One new case has been confirmed positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Baguio City this afternoon.
According to the Public Information Office – City of Baguio post, the new case recorded is 67-year old male from Hillside barangay. He was due for cataract operation and underwent swab test last June 22, 2020 (Monday) as a requirement before the operation.
In view of the new cases, Mayor Benjamin Magalong said that they are now working on contact tracing, quarantine, disinfection, and other protocols.
Barangay Hillside Lockdown
To facilitate contact tracing, disinfection and to stop the possible spread of the virus, the City Mayor ordered the lockdown of Barangay hillside. Home Quarantine pass for residents of Barangay Hillside is suspended until the lockdown is lifted. Access to basic necessities could be done through the satellite market or available rolling stores.
Total Cases in Baguio
Baguio City now has a total of 8 (now 6) active cases with 35 recoveries and 2 deaths bringing the total to 45 cases recorded in the city.
Update on Current Cases in Baguio
From the initial report of 8 total cases in Baguio City, the cases had gone down to 6 as there were two COVID-19 patients who also reportedly recovered today.
