Lower Paalaban of Barangay Paco, Mankayan Placed Under Lockdown
Lower Paalaban of Brgy. Paco, Mankayan has been placed under lockdown as of 8:00 AM today, August 6, 2020. This has been announced by the Mayor’s Office of Mankayan through a public advisory which was published on their official Facebook page just this morning.
According to the Mayor’s Office, their municipal physician has received information from her counterpart at Vigan, Ilocos Sur that a member of a family of five who came from Paalaban, Paco, Mankayan has tested positive of COVID-19.
The said family has arrived at Vigan on July 23, 2020 and were subjected to swab test on July 27, 2020, wherein one of its members, a minor, yielded a positive result yesterday.
Based on the advisory, the purpose of the said lockdown is to conduct contact tracing to determine whether or not the source of the viral transmission is from Mankayan.
The residents within the subject area shall stay at home. Residents of the nearby areas, on the other hand, are advised to limit movements until tracing has been concluded.
