How to Renew Your Vehicle’s Registration at LTO Baguio
Here are the following guidelines provided by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for the renewal of Motor Vehicle (MV) registration.
General Requirements
These are the following general requirements needed for the renewal of motor vehicle registration.
- Original or One (1) photocopy of Certificate of Registration (CR).
- Original LTO Copy or electronically transmitted appropriate insurance Certificate of Cover (COC).
- Original duly accomplished Motor Vehicle Inspection Report (MVIR).
- Original Certificate of Emission Compliance (CEC).
- Original Endorsement with a control number.
- Original Certification that the MV is still classified as Other Exempt Vehicle (OEV).
- Electronically transmitted franchise confirmation (For MVs)/Provisional Authority (PA) or Petition for extension of validity duly received by LTFRB with OR
- Original valid Motorized Tricycle Operator’s Permit with Official Receipt (MTOP) (For Tricycles).
- Original copy of the Lifting of General Alarm
- Original Report of Recovery
- One copy of Alarm Sheet
- Original PNP Crime Laboratory (macro etching report) or National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) report, fully identifying the motor vehicle and stating therein the tampering done on the engine or chassis, if any
- Original Certificate of re-stamping in case of tampered engine/chassis
- Original LTO Copy or electronically transmitted appropriate insurance COC
- Original duly accomplished MVIR
- Original CEC
- Original RRPL
- If for hire, electronic confirmation valid franchise or PA or extension of validity or MTOP with valid OR
- LTO District Offices (DOs) / Extension offices (EOs) / E-Patrols
- For Tax Exempt: Diliman District Office
- For Other Exempt Vehicles (OEVs) under Special Economic Zone: Nearest LTO DO/ EO
- For “For-Hire” MVs in NCR: Public Utility Vehicle Registration Center (PUVRC) and Public Utility Vehicle Registration Extension Center (PUVREC)

Other Exempt Vehicle (OEV) under Special Economic Zones
For Hire
Note: Renewal shall not be processed if the franchise will expire in the next 6 months.

Here are the steps of the renewal of motor vehicle registration:
Step 1
Book your appointment online or directly visit the LTO office near your location.
For Land Transportation Office (LTO) – Baguio City, they have implemented a new online booking transaction to reduce long queues and as part of adjusting to the new normal protocols.
Note: According to the Facebook post of LTO Baguio Registration, online booking is still being tested for them to be able to accommodate both online applicants and walk-in applicants.

Step 2
Submit all requirements needed for the renewal of motor vehicle registration.
Step 3
Once all renewal requirements are complete and authentic, transaction will be approved.
Step 4
Proceed to the cashier for the payment of fee and Official Receipt (OR) will be issued.
Step 5
Present the Official Receipt to the releasing officer to receive stickers.
