How to Be a PMA Cadet: Qualifications and Requirements for PMAEE 2021 Application
The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) has released a call to application for aspiring cadets who want to join their program and take the PMA Entrance Examinations 2021 (PMAEE2021). Here’s are the qualifications and requirements on how to be a PMA Cadet.
According to the PMA’s statement, despite the current pandemic we are facing, the institution stands firm in its “mission of developing the Filipino youth to become competent, committed, and excellent leaders of the nation.”
As the Academy complies with the COVID-19 protocols, it does not hinder them to try new techniques that enhance their skills amidst the current situation and the online curriculum, yet still at par with international military academies.

How to be a PMA Cadet
The first step to becoming a PMA Cadet is submitting an application for admission. Below are the qualifications and requirements you need to prepare for the admission process.
Official Start of Application
The official application for admission will start on May 1, 2021. Prior to the date, you can already check if you are qualified to join and also prepare your requirements, except for the Application Form, which is yet to be posted soon through the official PMA channels.
PMA Cadet Qualifications
Applicants for the PMA Cadet program must meet the following qualifications:
Natural born Filipino citizen
Physically fit and of good moral character
Single and has never been married nor pregnant nor have a legal obligation to support a child or children
At least Senior High School Graduate (Grade 12)
No Administrative/ Criminal Case
Must pass the PMA Entrance Examination
Minimum height requirement: 5 feet for both male and female (not to exceed 6’4″ for both)
Age requirement: At least 17 years old and not more than 22 years old on 01 April of the year of admission.

How to be a PMA Cadet: Requirements for Application
Photocopy of Form 137/Form 138/ Report Card/ Transcript of Records that indicates latest GPA
2×2 ID photo in white background, taken within the last six months
PMA Application Process
UPDATED as of April 19, 2021. The Philippine Military Academy has provided three ways on accomplishing the first step on how to be a PMA Cadet: online, walk-in screening, and mail application. Again, the application will officially start on May 1, 2021, but you can already prepare for the requirements.
How to be a PMA Cadet: Online Application
If you wish to apply for PMAEE online, follow these steps:
Create a new account by clicking the pencil icon Sign up on the upper right corner of the screen. Fill out the spaces with the required information then click the next button to continue. NOTE: Provide a valid and active email address when signing up.
Check for the verification code sent to the email you used during sign-up. Paste the verification code in the box with the label “Verification Code” to complete your application. You will be logged in automatically into the system upon entering the correct verification code.

Upload scanned copies of your PSA Birth Certificate and Senior High School Form 137 or 138
Files must be in either of the following formats:
PDF- must not exceed 20MB per file
JPEG- must not exceed 1 MB in size Any excess in file size will invalidate your file attachment process
Survey
After completing all the requirements, you will be notified that your application will be validated.
During the validation phase, PMA will determine if you are qualified to take the PMAEE based on the requirements that you have uploaded to your account.
Once your application has been approved, you will receive a notification in your account that you can download your exam permit. If you are disapproved, you will likewise receive a note stating the reason why you got disqualified.
Download and print your exam permit. Bring it to the examination center on the day of the examination. It is extremely important that you bring the permit with you as PMA will enforce a strict NO EXAM PERMIT, NO EXAM policy.
Walk-in Screening Application
For walk-in applicants, please bring the following:
Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
Original/ Certified True Copy and photocopy of ANY of the following:
Senior High School Form 137 or 138 (with name and grade)
Latest grade in Senior High School, if the applicant is currently in Grade 12
Certificate of Grades from last semester attended (for college students)
2×2 picture with white background
Valid ID (preferably school/driver’s license)
At least 2 pencils (No.2)
How to be a PMA Cadet: Mail Application
Aside from the online application, you may send your application for the PMA Entrance Exam via mail/courier service by following the steps below:
Read carefully the guidelines provided on the second page of the application form
Print and fill up the application form.
Along with your application form, include the following in your envelope:
2×2 ID picture with white background,
PSA Birth Certificate (photocopy)
Original/Certified True Copy and photocopy of ANY of the following:
Senior High School Form 137 or 138 (with name and grade)
Latest grade in Senior High School, if the applicant is currently in Grade 12
Certificate of Grades from last semester attended (for college students)

Wait for the Office of the Cadet Recruitment and Admission’s response to be sent to the email address that you have provided on your application form.

Based from the age requirement, who are qualified to take the PMA Entrance Examination?
If you were born from April 1, 2000 to April 1, 2005, you are qualified to take the PMA Entrance Examination, provided that you are currently in Grade 12 or at least Senior High Graduate or currently at College Level.
