Holiday Season Break is Coming, DepEd Reminds Important Dates to Remember

Through the Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 30, Series of 2020, the agency has released important dates to remember for the School Year 2020-2021.

Dates to Remember for SY 2020-2021

DepEd is reminding everyone of the following dates for the holiday season break in public schools from Kindergarten to Grade 12 nationwide:

Last day of classes for Quarter 1

• December 12, 2020

In-Service Training (INSET) Week

• December 14-19, 2020

Holiday break

• December 19, 2020 to January 3, 2021

Resumption of Classes

• January 4, 2021

Monthly School Year Calendar of Activities for SY 2020-2021

These are the following calendar of activities for the remaining SY 2020-2021 according to DepEd Order No. 30, s. 2020:

January 2021

• January 1: New Year’s Day
• January 4: Resumption of Classes
• January 3rd Week: NCAE, if allowed under IATF rules
• January 4th Week: Administration of NAT for Grade 12, if allowed under IATF rules
• January 30: Start of Early Registration

February 2021

• February 1st Week: PEPT, if allowed under IATF rules
• February 1st – 2nd Week: Supreme Pupil Government (SPG) / Supreme Student Government (SSG) Election
• February 6: End of Academic Quarter 2
• February 8-13: Mid-Year INSET
• February 15: Start of Academic  Quarter 2
• February 12: Chinese New Year (Special non-working holiday)
• February 25: Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution

March 2021

• TBA: Administration of NAT for Grade 6 and Grade 10, if allowed under IATF rules
• TBA: Early Language Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (ELLNA), if allowed under IATF rules

April 2021

• April 1: Maundy Thursday (Regular holiday)
• April 2: Good Friday (Regular holiday)
• April  9: Araw ng Kagitingan (Regular holiday)
• April  10: End of Academic Quarter 3
• April  12: Start of Academic Quarter 4
• April 3rd Week: Administration of Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Test, if allowed under IATF rules

May 2021

• May 1: Labor Day (Regular holiday)
• TBA: Eidil Fitr (Regular holiday; date subject to Presidential Proclamation)

June 2021

• June 5: End of Academic Quarter 4
• June 7-11: End of School Year Rites
• June 11: Last Day of the School Year
• June 14: Start of Summer Classes
• TBA: NSPC/NFOT (Online)
• TBA: Palarong Pambansa; where possible
• TBA: Brigada Eskwela
• TBA: Oplan Bali-Eskwela

July 2021

• July 23: End of Summer Class
