The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported through their latest Tropical Cyclone Bulletin issued at 11:00 AM today (Monday), that Tropical Depression “Florita” has intensified into a Tropical Storm (TS) as it moves southwestward over the Philippine Sea.
The center of the eye is estimated to be located 215 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (16.0 °N, 124.1 °E ), packing a maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 90 km/h.
According to the weather bureau, light to moderate with at times heavy rains will be experienced over Cagayan, Isabela, Batanes, Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and La Union.
Tomorrow, heavy to intense with at times torrential rains over Cagayan, Isabela, Batanes, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Region. Moderate to heavy rains will be experienced over the northern portion of Aurora, Zambales, Bataan, and the rest of Cagayan Valley. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains will be experienced over the rest of Central Luzon.
The next weather bulletin will be released by PAGASA at 2 PM today.
