First Fun Ride Event in Baguio City Approved under MGCQ

On June 4, 2020, Mayor Benjamin Magalong, through Executive Order No. 98, Series of 2020,   has approved the conduct of the first fun ride event in Baguio City under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).

Through the said executive order, the Mayor allowed the conduct of the said activity in observance of the 3^rd World Bicycle Dayin Baguio City.

3rd Bicycle Day in Baguio City

Under Resolution No. 116, Series of 2018,  the 3rd Day of June of every year has been declared as Bicycle Day in Baguio City in support of the World Bicycle Day that promotes the use of bicycles as a means of personal transport.  

Bicycle Fun Ride

Thus, in line with the celebration of the 3rd World Bicycle Day, cycling organizations and individuals advocating the use of bicycles as means of transportation and recreation will be organizing a Bicycle Fun Ridealong the main thoroughfares of the city.

Under EO No. 98, the said activity will be conducted this coming Sunday, June 7, 2020, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.

Furthermore, it was mentioned that the fun ride will start and end at the Baguio Athletic Bowl.

Reminders for the Participants

All participants of the event are reminded of the following:

• Wear face masks
• Maintain a physical distancing of at least 5-meter radius from each other
• Refrain from sharing towels, water bottles, and similar personal effects

The event will be under the supervision of the Office of the City Administration-Tourism and Special Event Division.
