Health workers who will get COVID-19 booster shots will have the liberty to choose which booster shot they prefer. The guidelines were released by the Department of Health on Wednesday, following the announcement that the inoculation of booster doses for the A1 priority group will start on November 17.
As per Department Memorandum No. 0484, medical frontliners may opt to use the same vaccine brand (homologous dose) or another brand (heterologous dose) from their primary series, depending on the availability of vaccine brands in the vaccination site.
