La Trinidad Business Establishments may Now Apply for the Municipality’s Livelihood Assistance Program




The Municipality of La Trinidad is now accepting applications for their Livelihood Assistance Program that aims to assist small businesses in their economic recovery. This has been announced by the Mayor’s Office of La Trinidad earlier this afternoon of September 3, 2020 (Thursday).

Business owners with the approved application of the said program are to receive a grant of five thousand pesos (Php 5,000) pesos. Interested individuals whose business establishment has been significantly affected by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) may apply for the municipality’s Livelihood Assistance Program.

What is the Livelihood Assistance Program?

The livelihood assistance program is intended to alleviate the losses of business establishments of the locality due to the COVID-19 pandemic under the direction towards economic recovery.

Who are the Target Beneficiaries?

The following establishments who did not resume business operations during the Community Quarantine were identified as target recipients of the Livelihood Assistance:

  1. Computer Shops
  2. Personal Care Services
    • Massage
    • SPA
    • Manicure
    • Pedicure
  3. Wagwagan Shops
  4. Bars (Except Bars and Restaurants)
  5. Souvenir Shops (Tourism-Related Shops)
  6. Other business establishments greatly affected by COVID-19

What are the Qualifications?

Priority shall be given to establishments which meet the following criteria:

  1. Bonafide resident of the Municipality of La Trinidad, Benguet
  2. No financial assistance received from any government agency for the same purpose (DSWD, LTFRB, DOLE, etc.)
  3. Must be operating legitimately and is significantly affected by the declaration of Community Quarantine
  4. No business violation recorded starting from January 1, 2019 up to present
  5. The business has a total asset of Five hundred thousand pesos (Php 500,000.00) and below

What are the Documentary Requirements?

The following are the requirements to be submitted:

  1. Fully accomplished Application Form (2 copies)
  2. Photocopy of Business Permit for the Year 2020
  3. Barangay Certification of Residency with an indication that as per records of the Barangay, the applicant has not received any financial support from any government agency and that the bearer is qualified to receive livelihood assistance
  4. One (1) Government Issued ID (Photocopy)
  5. DTI Business Name Registration, if any

The Selection Process

The following steps are to be followed in the granting of livelihood assistance:

STEP 1: Accomplish and submit the form (two copies) together with attached documentary requirements at the Tourism Office/LEIP Office on or before September 25, 2020.

STEP 2: Evaluation and Screening of the Selection Committee

  1. Pre-evaluation based on submitted documentary requirements
  2. Interview of Qualified Applicants through phone call or face to face if necessary

STEP 3: Recommendation to the Mayor for approval.

STEP 4: Site/business ocular inspection and validation.

STEP 5: Release of Livelihood Assistance in the amount of Five thousand pesos (Php 5,000.00) to all qualified beneficiaries by October 15, 2020.
