Both Lanes of Session Closed on March 28 for Sunday Market Showcase

City of Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong has issued an Executive Order on Friday, March 26, 2021, authorizing the temporary closure of both lanes of Session Road on March 28, 2021 for the Sunday Market Showcase activity.

As per Executive Order No. 45, series of 2021, BOTH LANES of Session Road from Baguio Post Office down to Magsaysay Avenue Junction will be closed to vehicular traffic from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

According to the Public Information Office of Baguio City, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) will be showcasing their products along the main thoroughfares of the city to stimulate economic activity and promote local products.

Restaurants along Session Road will also be allowed to offer al fresco or outdoor dining services during the event.

According to the local chief executive, Session Road is the perfect place for such activity because of “accessibility, space and open air – ensuring adherence to minimum public health protocols.”
