Earlier this afternoon of August 20, 2020, as reported by the PIO Benguet, the Municipality of Bokod has recorded one (1) new confirmed case of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to Mayor Thomas Wales, the patient is 29 years old female and a resident of Barangay Ekip. Contact-tracing is already ongoing and Barangay Ekip is already placed under lockdown until further notice.

To avoid contracting the virus, the public is reminded to stay vigilant and to always observe safety and health protocols.
