As Baguio City, like the rest of Luzon, is placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), private individuals and groups started reaching out to the city government to provide help as we fight COVID-19 by giving donations.
In line with this, Baguio City officials created a centralized system for accepting and distributing donations to residents in need.
The Office of the City Social Welfare and Development (OCSWADO), headed by Ms. Betty Fangasan, will receive both perishable and non-perishable donations. Moreover, the office will also be in charge of the equal distribution of the items to vulnerable households most affected by the ECQ as identified by the barangays.
As part of the management of the donations, assigned CSWD personnel will receive and properly itemize them.
