Baguio City Hall of Justice on Guarded Lockdown Until End of April




The Regional Trial Court First Judicial Region has released a memorandum announcing that the Hall of Justice will be placed on guarded lockdown.

As per another memorandum by the Vice-Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court, the guarded lockdown will commence on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon until April 30, 2021.

According to the memorandum, the building’s temporary closure will be due to the increasing number of employees of the Hall of Justice who have been infected with the coronavirus.

The building will be closed from Thursday, April 22, 2021, to Friday, April 30, 2021, for implementing measures such as disinfection which will help stop the spread of the virus.




Executive Judge Maria Ligaya Itliong-Rivera directs the employees of the Regional Trial Court and the Municipal Trial Court in Cities to work from home and not leave their residences for the duration of the lockdown. They shall also submit accomplishment reports as required by the Supreme Court.

Work and reopening of the building will resume on May 3, 2021, employees are directed to strictly follow wearing of face masks and face shields in respective workplaces.
