Benguet remains under a Yellow Rainfall Warning as rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat continue to affect portions of Northern Luzon on Saturday morning, August 8, 2026.
The warning was issued by PAGASA Northern Luzon PRSD at 8:00 AM under Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 7.
A Yellow Rainfall Warning is currently in effect over Benguet.
According to the advisory, flooding and landslides may still prevail in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas.
Residents, particularly those living near mountain slopes and other hazard-prone locations, are advised to take precautionary measures against possible landslides, mudslides, rockslides, and flash floods.
Light to moderate, and at times heavy rains, are currently being experienced in the following areas:
Pangasinan: Infanta, Mabini, Dasol, Burgos, Agno, Bani, Bolinao, Anda, Alaminos City, Bugallon, Sual, Labrador, Balungao, Rosales, Villasis, Santo Tomas, Alcala, Urdaneta City, Malasiqui, Bayambang, Bautista, Aguilar, Mangatarem, Basista, Urbiztondo, San Carlos City, Santa Barbara, and Lingayen
Ilocos Sur
Mountain Province: Tadian and Besao
Abra: Tubo, Boliney, Manabo, Luba, Villaviciosa, Pilar, Lagayan, Danglas, Bangued, Langiden, San Quintin, Pidigan, San Isidro, Dolores, La Paz, Tayum, Peñarrubia, Bucay, Sallapadan, and Bucloc
Ilocos Norte: Solsona, Dingras, Nueva Era, Marcos, Banna, Batac City, Paoay, San Nicolas, Laoag City, Currimao, Pinili, and Badoc
La Union: Agoo, Aringay, Bagulin, Bauang, Burgos, Caba, Naguilian, Pugo, Rosario, San Fernando City, San Gabriel, San Juan, Santo Tomas, and Tubao
These conditions may persist for the next two to three hours and may affect nearby areas.
Similar weather conditions are expected within the next two to three hours over the rest of La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, and Ilocos Norte, as well as portions of the following provinces:
Mountain Province: Bontoc, Sagada, Sadanga, Sabangan, and Bauko
Ifugao: Hungduan, Kiangan, Asipulo, and Tinoc
Nueva Vizcaya: Kayapa, Ambaguio, Santa Fe, Solano, Villaverde, Bayombong, Bambang, Dupax del Sur, Aritao, Dupax del Norte, and Alfonso Castañeda
PAGASA advised the public and concerned Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices to continue monitoring weather conditions and take precautions against hazards associated with the ongoing rains.
Those in areas susceptible to flooding, flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and rockslides should remain vigilant.
The next Heavy Rainfall Warning from PAGASA Northern Luzon PRSD is scheduled to be issued at 11:00 AM today, August 8, 2026, unless conditions warrant an earlier advisory.
