Apayao Records 14th COVID-19 Case

The Province of Apayao has recorded its 14th confirmed COVID-19 case yesterday, July 21, 2020.

14th COVID-19 Case of Apayao

Here are the following details of the new COVID-19 case of Apayao:

• The patient is from the Municipality of Sta. Marcela, Apayao.
• Male and the 4th confirmed case of Sta. Marcela.
• The new COVID-19 case of Apayao is a Locally Stranded Individual (LSI) from Metro Manila.
• He arrived in the province last July 13, 2020 through a private transport.
• The patient is asymptomatic.

Furthermore, the newly confirmed case of Apayao is currently quarantined at the Bacut Quarantine Facility and is in a stable condition.

Temporary Lockdown

In the advisory released by the Provincial Government of Apayao, all borders of Sta. Marcela including the barangay where the new COVID-19 case came from will be placed under temporary lockdown.

Contact Tracing

The contact tracing of individuals who had contacts with the new COVID-19 case in the province is ongoing.

Furthermore, individuals who interacted with the COVID-19 patient during the last two (2) weeks are encouraged to coordinate with the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Sta. Marcela.
