The Baguio City Veterinary and Agriculture Office (CVAO) will conduct pet welfare services on Monday, September 14, 2026, as part of Handog ng Pangulo 2026.
The activity will be held at the CVAO, Slaughterhouse Compound, Barangay Sto. Niño, Baguio City and will cater to walk-in clients who are Baguio residents.
The following services will be offered:

Admission for spay and castration will be from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, but CVAO may stop accepting pets earlier once all available slots have been filled.
Services will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
For Pusang Pinoy or Puspins, spay and castration services are free.
For Asong Pinoy or Aspins, fees prescribed under City Ordinance No. 19, series of 2021, will apply:
Aspins and Puspins are given priority for the spay and castration program.
Cats undergoing spay or castration should generally be 6 months to 4 years old. Cats aged four years and above will require a CBC test.
Pet owners should also take note of the following requirements:
Dogs scheduled for spay or castration should also generally be 6 months to 4 years old, while dogs four years old and above will require a CBC test.

Those availing of the spay and castration services should bring:
A maximum of two people may accompany each pet to help prevent overcrowding at the venue.
CVAO also noted that pet owners who have previously availed themselves of its spay and castration services will be given lower priority.
The September 14 activity is open to Baguio City residents only. Walk-in clients will be accommodated on a first come, first served basis, subject to the availability of supplies and slots.
Pet owners planning to avail themselves of the limited spay and castration slots are advised to prepare all requirements beforehand and arrive within the designated admission period.
