Baguio City Records 536 cases yesterday, January 14, 2022
Baguio City has recorded 536 new cases, 142 new recoveries, and 1 death on Friday, January 14, 2022. This is the highest recorded case in a single day, breaking yesterday’s record of 516 cases and September 18 last year where 411 cases were recorded in a single day during the peak of the delta variant surge.

Out of the 536 cases, 117 are asymptomatic, 416 are experiencing mild symptoms, 1 case is experiencing severe symptoms, and 2 are currently under critical condition. An 84-year-old female resident of Baguio also succumbed to the disease yesterday.
New Lockdown Orders
The following places in the city are placed on lockdown:
Sto. Tomas Proper
- Lower Atab, Teachers Village
- Lower Balacbac
As of 6:00 PM yesterday, a total of 41 areas located in 19 barangays are on lockdown in the City of Baguio.
Baguio City on Alert Level 3
The City of Baguio will remain under Alert Level 3 classification until the end of January according to the new classification levels announced by acting Presidential Spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei Nograles in a press briefing on Friday.
